Road To Riches back with a win a Clonmel

The Noel Meade-trained Road To Riches raced well clear in the closing stages to make a winning return to action in the Clonmel Oil Chase this afternoon after missing the JNwine chase last month which was won by Don Cosaack (both owned by Gigginstown).

Jockey Bryan Cooper made the running on the Cheltenham Gold Cup third and really turned it on going to the last.

One of three Gigginstown runners in the race, Road To Riches had six-length to spare over Bright New Dawn.

Paddy Power cut the price of Road To Riches from 6/1 to 3/1 for the Lexus Chase, a race he won last year and to 14/1 from 16/1 for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Gordon Elliott had two winners at Clonmel - Jetstream Jack in the opener and Prince Of Scars (Gigginstown) in the three-mile handicap hurdle.

Jockey Robbie Power was in the winners' enclosure at the Tipperary track with Oscar Sam on a first start for trainer Jessica Harrington.
