Naas double for Noel Meade

Castletown trainer Noel Meade was the man in form at Naas today where he recorded an impressive double with ammunition supplied by Gigginstown and JP McManus.

The French import Disko wore a distinctive black hood on the way to an impressive victory in a two and a half miles maiden hurdle by more than a distance for jockey Bryan Cooper.

Meade's first winner was partnered by Mark Walsh who brought Killer Miller home in front of another Meade horse, Bonny Kate, in a beginners' chase.

BARRY GERAGHTY

Meath jockey Barry Geraghty was in action at Aintree today where he was out of luck as Simonsig was edged out by Bobs Worth in a hurdle on his first race since winning at Cheltenham in March.

Barry Geraghty will be back on home soil tomorrow when he has a number of fancied runners in Navan including Carlingford Lough returning to action in the Lismullen Hurdle.
