Boil notice for Lobinstown lifted

A Boil Water Notice for Lobinstown issued by Uisce Eireann earlier this week has been lifted.

Following consultation with the Health Service Executive (HSE), Uisce Eireann has confirmed that the water is now safe to drink, prepare food with, and use as normal.

The notice has been lifted following a series of satisfactory water quality tests. It was issued on Tuesday, 6th October following the detection of increased bacteria levels were detected in the supply. It is understood that approximately 93 customers in Lobinstown aned the surrounding area had been affected.

We understand how disruptive a Boil Water Notice can be and I'd like to thank customers for the patience, cooperation and kindness they showed to our teams while this notice was in place. Our drinking water experts have worked hard to resolve the issue, and we are delighted that customers can now return to using their water supply as normal."
