Gardai appeal for information regarding Laytown assault

Three young people were attacked and robbed by a gang of between 10 and 15 youths in Laytown on Monday evening.

Gardaí at Laytown are investigating the assault incident which occurred at Beach Grove on Monday. At 4pm a group of 10-15 youths approached three young people and demanded their mobile phones.

They assaulted two of the youngsters,  knocking them to the ground and kicking them.

The victims suffered minor injuries and no property was stolen.

The group of offenders then ran towards Laytown railway station.
