NeuroFest returns to Navan Adventure Centre for a celebration of inclusion, fun and community connection
Neurodiversity Navan is delighted to announce the return of NeuroFest, a vibrant festival celebrating neurodiversity, inclusion and connection; created by and for the neurodivergent community. Taking place at Navan Adventure Centre on Saturday 20th June 2026, from 11am to 4.30pm and the event is designed to bring together neurodivergent children, teenagers, adults, their families and allies for a day of activities, talks and community connection.
Following the success of last year's inaugural festival, NeuroFest 2026 returns with an expanded programme of activities, speakers and community spaces creating opportunities for neurodivergent people of all ages and their families to spend time together, meet others and enjoy activities designed with accessibility in mind.
Organised by the local non-profit organisation Neurodiversity Navan, the festival will feature a packed programme of activities including magic shows, sensory-friendly play zones, creative craft stations, pedalo boats, mini golf, train rides, inclusive workshops such as Taekwondo and computer coding, and much more.
The festival will also host a series of short, accessible talks from professionals, advocates and neurodivergent community leaders. Topics will include practical supports for families, lived experience, autistic joy, OCD awareness, and creating more inclusive environments for neurodivergent children and adults.
A new addition for 2026 is the Adult Hangout Area for neurodivergent adults. Facilitated by AsIAm, Ireland's autism charity, this dedicated space will feature Nintendo gaming and board game cabins. The festival will also host an acoustic music tent where attendees are encouraged to bring along instruments and join in.
Information and support stands from a range of community organisations will be available throughout the day, giving families the chance to meet local and national community organisations, ask questions and learn about available supports.
Special guests will include Adam Harris, Founder and CEO of AsIAm, and Ken Kilbride, CEO of ADHD Ireland with a star guest performance from Cillian O’Connor of Britain’s Got Talent fame.
“When we created NeuroFest, we wanted to build the kind of event many neurodivergent families spend years searching for" said Eva Burke, Chairperson of Neurodiversity Navan."
"For so many families, simply finding a place where everyone can relax and be themselves can feel impossible. NeuroFest is our way of saying: you belong here. We want every child, adult and family who has ever felt left out to experience a day where they feel seen, celebrated and safe."
Food vendors will be onsite throughout the day, while quiet spaces and sensory supports will be available across the venue, giving attendees the flexibility to engage with the festival in whatever way works best for them.
NeuroFest 2026 is proudly hosted by Neurodiversity Navan in partnership with Navan Adventure Centre, one of the organisation's Neurodiversity Champions.
