Another double for Gordon Elliott

Gordon Elliott continued his winning form at Leopardstown today on the last day of the Christmas Festival when he recorded a double with No More Heroes owned by Gigginstown and Squouateur which is owned by JP McManus.

No More Heroes landed the Grade 1 Neville Hotels Novice Chase ahead of three rivals, with only the Noel Meade-trained Monksland not owned by Gigginstown.

No More Heroes won by nine lengths for Bryan Cooper from Rule The World with Monksland's back in third place while Wrath Of Titans completed the finishers in fourth place.

Barry Geraghty was on board Squouateur for the Ryanair EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle and got the better of rtalented young jockey Jack Kennedy on the Eoin Griffin-trained Archive by three lengths.

The Tony Martin-trained Kinnitty Castle was the favourite for the race with conditional jockey Donagh Meyler on board, but was pulled up before the last when well adrift.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kinnitty Castle at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post-race.
