Meath expected to win in Dundalk tonight

Meath u-21 footballers will be expected to negotiate Louth in the Leinster u-21FC quarter-final at Dundalk tonight (7.30), but it might be more difficult that supporters are anticipating.

Meath had a good run in the Hastings Cup during January where they played Wicklow, Tipperary, Leitrim, Westmeath and Roscommon who beat them in the final, but February's preparations were disjointed.

Louth played in the Shamrock Cup against Antrim, Tyrone and Monaghan.

The winner of tonight's game will face Kildare or Offaly in the semi-final on Wednesday 19th March.

The Meath team for tonight's Leinster u-21 FC quarter-final against Louth is:

Anddrew Colgan (Donaghmore/Ashbourne);

Simon Carty (Dunderry), Conor McGill (Ratoath), David McQuillan (St Patrick’s);

Padraic Harnan (Moynalvey), Shane Melia (Don/Ash), Shane McEntee (Dunboyne):
