St Pat's lose at Parnell Park

There was no joy for the footballers from St Patrick's CS, Navan today in the semi-final of the Leinster PP Schools' SFC against Dublin side Colaiste Eoin as they lost by almost double scores (2-6 to 4-10).

This was a disappointing result for St Pat's who trailed at the break by four points (0-3 to 0-7) and lost touch completely in the second-half.

However, the defeat will now clear the way for Meath minor football manager Eoin carroll to finalise his panel ahead of the opening round of the Leinster MFC against Wicklow in April.

Many of the St Pat's players were absent for Meath games in the Leinster MFL, but will now be in a position to challenge for places on the team.

Meath Chronicle reporter Jimmy Geoghegan will have a full report and reaction from the St Pat's camp in the next edition of the Meath Chronicle on Tuesday night.
