Big crowds at Primary Schools finals in Trim

The curtain came down in sparkling sunshine at Trim today on the Meath Primary Schools hurling and camogie final with seven deciders contested from 9.30am this morning.

While there were winners and losers, all the players contributed handsomely to a fantastic day of sport.

All the teams and presentations will be featured in the Meath Chronicle this week in a three-page spread on the big day of finals.

HURLING

Killyon got the ball rolling the Div 4 hurling final where they recorded a 4-7 to 0-2 victory over Drumbaragh.

Rathbeggan won the Div 3 hurling title with a superb victory by 2-6 to 1-5 against Gaelscoil na Boinne.

Baconstown made it four titles in-a-row when they won the Div 2 crown with a 8-10 to 33 success against Boardsmill.

St Michael's, Trim won the Div 1 decider with an emphatic performance against St Dympna's, Kildakey that produced a 4-8 to 0-2 victory.

CAMOGIE

The girls from Kiltale captured the Div 3 title with a 6-1 to 3-2 margin of victory against Killyon.

Baconstown took the Div 2 title with a 3-2 to 1-0 victory against a spirited St Dympna's, Kildalkey.

Ratoath took the honours in Div 1 with a 7-3 to 1-0 win against St Mary's, Trim.
