Leitrim shape up for London

GAA shocktroopers London will be making their way to Carrick-on-Shannon in a couple of weeks for a semi-final showdown against a Leitrim side that visited the Royal County over the last few days as both teams bid for the Sam Maguire 2013.

Meath hosted the Connacht men on Monday or Tuesday of this week at Pairc Tailteann in the 'behind-closed-doors' senior football challenge.

Only those who signed up to the newly-composed GAA version of the 'official secrets act' were admitted to the game and consequently, hardly any information is known about the game.

There is no information available about either team selection or about the result of the game.

Rumours have circulated since the game was played suggesting that Meath won and that Meath lost and that it was  draw but the Meath Chronicle can reveal that Meath won the game by five or six points although that is unconfirmed.

Who knows?

And why all the secrets?
