Meath's January dates for football and hurling

O'Byrne Cup holders Meath will open their campaign under new manager Andy McEntee (pictured) at Pairc Táilteann on Sunday 8th January against Wicklow.

Meath will be in a group with Wicklow, Laois and students DIT as McEntee embarks on a new era following the departure of Mick O’Dowd.

Meath will play Laois in the final group game, Laois also have a new manager - Peter Creedon.

HURLING
Offaly under their new manager Kevin Ryan will make the trip to Navan on 8th January also in what is likely to be a double header with Meath v Wicklow (football).

Offlay will be up against Meath in the first rounf of the Walsh Cup.

New Louth manager Philip O'Brien (Wolfe Tones) will have his first competitive game on 15th January against Maynooth University and then travel to Longford on 29th January.
