Further arrests after another drug seizure

Two further arrests have been made today after drugs were seized by Gardai in a follow-up operation to last night’s drug seizure in Rathdrinagh.
The latest arrests were in connection with the discovery of cannabis and amphetamines with an estimated street value of €14,000 during the search of a property in the Hayestown area, outside Navan. A quantity of credit cards were also seized.
Two males were arrested and are being held in Navan Garda Station.
The search was part of a follow-up operation to last night’s seizure of drugs worth an estimated €25,000 following a search of vehicle at Rathdrinagh, Slane. Members from the Navan Detective Unit who were on patrol in the area stopped a car shortly after 11pm. A search of the vehicle uncovered cannabis resin and herb with an estimated street value of €25,000. The driver of the car, a 25 year old man, was arrested and remains in custody.
