Under-20 FL clash with Armagh is off

Meath's Leo Murphy u-20 Development FL clash with Armagh which was scheduled to take place in ther Athletic Grounds on Monday evening is off and with neither side in a position to qualify for the next stage it is unlikely to be refixed.
With so many of Barry Callaghan's u-20 panel involved in the Leaving Cert exams taking place this week and next and several others injured, Meath are unable to field a team and so the game has been postponed and is unlikely to be refixed.
Meath won their opening game of this new competition with an impressive 1-15 to 0-10 over Monaghan in Inniskeen with Trim's Aaron Lynch top scoring with six points, while Jordan Morris grabbed the goal from the penalty spot.
However, in the second round against Down Meath were comprehensively beaten 1-3 to 2-12 by the visitors to Pairc Tailteann on Tuesday evening last with Conor Frayne accounting for all of Meath's tally.
