Support for frontline workers

Nation to stop at 8pm this evening to applaud frontline workers

The Dáil has agreed to interrupt its business at 8pm - irrespective of whatever item of business is being conducted at that time - to join in a national moment of applause for frontline workers at the vanguard of Ireland's #CoVID19 response.

The public is being encouraged to come to their frontdoor, window or balcony - observing all physical distancing - and stage a symbolic gesture of solidarity and support for the thousands of doctors, nurses, carers, and emergency chain workers battling at the Covid-19 coalface.
