Dog killed in petrol bomb attack in Drogheda

Gardai are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Drogheda last night.
While a man in his 30's escaped unharmed  it's believed a dog was killed in the incident, which  took place  on Scarlet Street on the northside of the town at approximately 8.40pm.
Extensive damage was caused to a bedroom and sitting room at the front of the house and three units of local firefighters attended the scene.
The scene remains closed pending as Gardai continue their investigations
