Brolly, Kerr and Hamilton to appear in imaginative fundraiser

Sports celebrities in Athboy Celtic line-up

Fancy an evening with Joe Brolly or Brian Kerr ......or indeed George Hamilton?

If you would like to hear what these sporting personalities have to say about various topics - because you can do so on an evening in November - Friday 10th November to be exact.

Joe Brolly, of course, was a Derry footballer who became a TV pundit. He is certainly not afraid to speak his mind. Brian Kerr managed the Republic of Ireland, St Patrick's Athletic and the Faroe Islands, although not in that order. He too has forthright views on issues relating to the soccer - and much else besides.

George Hamilton has commentated on more Ireland games than he has had pasta dinners and will be long remembered for his one-liner from Italia 90 - "The nation holds it's breath" - just as David O'Leary was about to take THAT penalty against Romania in the famous shoot-out.

There appearance on stage on the same night is all part of an drive by Athboy Celtic FC to raise funds. Messrs Brolly and Kerr will not be holding back while Mr Hamilton will be firing the questions and perhaps adding some of his own opinions into the mix.

No doubt also there will be a chance for members of the audience to put forward their own questions.

So if there was something you always wanted to ask Joe or Brian - or indeed George - now is your chance.

The event takes place on Friday 10th November at the Darnley Hotel, 7.30 sharp. Tickets are 30 euro.

Tickets from usual sources or e-mail: ticketathboy@gmail.com.
