Clonee family proud to support run event for LauraLynn who ‘helped us make every day count’

A CLONEE couple, who received significant support from LauraLynn when their daughter began to struggle with health issues shortly after birth, are fully behind a 5k and 10k fundraising event for Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

Amy and Gavin Kane, alongside broadcaster Ray D'Arcy will be front and centre at the event on Saturday, 10th October, at Leopardstown Racecourse.

Meath residents are being encouraged to take part in the upcoming fundraiser, whether it be through walking, running, or just general support. It is understood that the organisation currently supports over 45 families across the county, giving great incentive to locals to get involved.

Amy and Gavin first became involved with LauraLynn after their daughter, one of three triplets, Grace began dealing with health difficulties shortly after her birth in August 2021, before tragically passing three months later.

Thankfully, Grace’s fellow triplets, Chloe and Cara, did not experience similar difficulties post birth. They also have a son James, who was born the year prior.

After receiving incredible support from LauraLynn during their challenging time, the Kane family continued to keep in touch with staff, as well as previous fundraisers for the cause.

This includes a 24-hour treadmill challenge May 2024, completed by Gavin, as well as Amy taking part in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon in June 2025 in aid of LauraLynn.

Now, they will once again look to give back to the support system, as they are launching a new and exciting fundraiser to support LauraLynn.
