Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is to embark on a UK tour, which includes five dates in London.
The 85-year-old, who is one of the best selling musicians of all-time, will also perform two dates at Blackpool Opera House, along with gigs at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, Birmingham’s BP Pulse Live and Bournemouth’s BIC Windsor Hall – with the London concerts taking place at the Royal Festival Hall.
The gigs will be phone and camera free, with attendees being required to put their mobiles in Yondr pouches which can be unlocked outside the performance area.
Tickets for the concerts, which will take place in November and December, will go on general sale at 10am on July 22 from the singer’s website.
Dylan is one of the most acclaimed songwriters of all time, winning 10 Grammys and being nominated on 38 further occasions.
The singer has had six UK top 10 singles and nine UK number one albums.
He began his career in 1962 with the single Mixed-Up Confusion, which failed to chart in the UK and US.
But he shot to stardom with a string of successful singles in 1965, including The Times They Are A-Changin’, Subterranean Homesick Blues and Like A Rolling Stone.
Dylan’s songs have been covered by the likes of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Rolling Stones and Adele.
The singer last performed in the UK on his Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour in support of his last studio album of all new material of the same name released in 2020, which included three nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
