Meath will play host to a wide variety of Easter activities and events for family and adults alike. From Easter hunts to the Fairyhouse races, there is plenty in store for anyone in the festive spirit this weekend.
Trim Castle
Trim Castle Hotel invites families to step into a world of Easter magic with a Family Fun Easter Egg Trail. Taking place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April, the family event promises an unforgettable experience for children and parents alike, set against the stunning backdrop of Trim Castle and the Boyne Valley River walk.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet young explorers and their families as they embark on a self-guided adventure. The Easter trail features six vibrant, colour-coded stations, each marked on a special event map. At every stop, children will be challenged with fun riddles to solve, making the journey both interactive and educational. Once the trail has been completed, children can claim their Easter egg surprise at Trim Castle Hotel before enjoying complimentary homemade cookies at the hotel.
Spaces are limited to ensure every child receives an Easter egg, and will be operated on a first-come, first serve basis.
Emerald park
Emerald Park’s much-loved Hop and Hunt, one of Ireland’s largest Easter egg hunts, will be running from 2nd to 6th April.
The Hop and Hunt features over 12,000 chocolate Easter eggs up for grabs. guests receive a themed trail map and set off on an interactive adventure, collecting stamps at various locations before claiming a delicious chocolate prize at the end with even the chance of finding a special golden ticket surprise.
The event also includes Easter-themed entertainment, arts and crafts, games in the Big Top Tent, and special animal experiences, making it a perfect day out for families during the Easter break.

Fairyhouse Racecourse
Taking place over Easter weekend, the Fairyhouse Easter Festival promises a thrilling blend of elite National Hunt racing and a vibrant social atmosphere.
Glamour, elegance and horsepower will come together on Easter Saturday for the Bellinter House Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Person event, inviting racegoers to showcase their finest style with winners to receive eggstraordinary prizes.
Easter Sunday will promise families a thrilling combination of top-class jump racing featuring the Grade 1 WillowWarm Gold Cup with a dedicated programme of free children’s entertainment.
The Fairyhouse Easter Festival culminates on Easter Sunday in the BOYLE Sports Irish Grand National which goes to post at 5pm on Easter Monday.

Navan Adventure Centre
Navan Adventure Centre will play host to seven amazing activities at the Easter Egg and Family Fun Event during the 4th and 5th April including an eggciting easter egg treasure hunt around the park.
Bounce, climb, and slide through inflatable obstacle courses and slides, explore a massive 1,200 square foot sand pit filled with 40 tons of natural sea sand, play through 9-hole mini-golf course, and Test your aim at their indoor laser tag target game.
For those who prefer a sea-faring trek, they can hop into a ship-themed barrel carriage or in their single-seat pedal boats and set sail on an exciting journey around the Navan Adventure Centre fields. They can also traverse an inflatable pond in their very own single-seat pedal boats.

Causey Farm
This idyllic family run farm at Girley, Fordstown, Navan, one of Meath’s most popular destinations, is set for a jam-packed Easter Easter weekend.
Children can take part in an Easter quest, witness Professor Omelette’s experiments, visit all the wonderful animals, and even dig and sow in their own planting patch.

Red Mountain Open Farm
Red Mountain Open Farm’s annual treasure hunt will run from the 4th to 6th April all day. Plenty of other activities are running on their large open barn including sandpits, driving toy tractors, and visiting farmyard friends while having a look at their day old chicks.
