Details of additional train services for All-Ireland semi-final

Irish Rail will run a number of additional train services to facilitate Meath supporters travelling to Croke Park on Sunday.

Three direct trains will run from M3 Parkway to Drumcondra at 10.20am, 11.20am and 1.05pm. These are in addition to the usual scheduled services that change at Clonsilla.

An extra service will also depart from Drogheda for Meath fans travelling from the east of the county leaving Drogheda at 11am.

There will also be additional services on the Longford line which serves Enfield and Kilcock. A service will depart Longford at 9.45am ( departing Enfield 10.45am) and another leaves Longford at 10.55am (departing Enfield at 11.55am).

An additional return service on the Longford line will leave Drumcondra at 6.15pm.

Return services to M3 Parkway will be as scheduled and will require a change at Clonsilla. Barry Kenny, Irish Rail spokesperson said they will monitor the situation from Drumcondra and pointed out that each train can carry 1,300 passengers so even if there is a big queue, it should move quickly.

However, if a situation arises where the scheduled trains are not getting the crowds away, he said they will put on additional trains and also additional shuttles to M3 Parkway as required.
