Blushing bride stuns in all black Trim wedding

"I don't even own a white bra," chuckled a new bride who got married last weekend in an all-black ceremony, complete with a double coffin!

Keelin Ward and her husband Anthony Kavanagh said 'I do!' in St Patrick's Church in Trim, followed by a dark reception in Trim Castle Hotel.

The couple live with their three children Ellie (17), Jackson (13) and Fury (8) in Athboy and run a number of Savage Martial Arts schools for children.

The happy couple on their big day.

Anthony popped the big question ten years ago when he recorded a proposal and got it played ahead of the film Brooklyn in the Diamond Cinema in Navan.

Keelin says she just adores the colour black so wanted to be true to herself on her wedding day last Saturday.

She and Anthony love horror movies and crows and she even has a tattoo of the bird.

"I just love the colour black and wear it all the time. I might wear the odd bit of brown but that's it. I don't even own a white bra.

She sourced her black dress from Bespoke Bridal and the black roses from The Faux Edit.

"Everyone knows me so there wasn't one eyebrow raised, not even from the priest who was lovely.

"My six bridesmaids all wore black, I had black roses and crows and birdcages and skulls.

"I even had a double coffin made, decorated by my dad Tom, because I always joke to Anthony that if I die first, he may get into the casket with me.

"It was a bit of fun and it became a photo booth for guests on the day.

"I don't think brides should automatically go for white if they don't want to. It's nice to be different.

"I had my dream wedding to my dream man with my dream kids, family and friends and that's all that matters.
