Gardaí seize over €3million worth of illegal vapes and cannabis products

Gardaí have seized over €3million worth of illegal vape and cannabis products in searches across five counties, as part of Operation Tara.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting organised crime groups, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau searched properties in Longford, Mayo, Roscommon, Wexford and Carlow on October 14.

During the searches, €3 million worth of illegal vape products and cannabis based products were discovered, along with €235,000 in cash, £3,000 in sterling, $3,500 in US dollars and several high-value vehicles.

Gardai say that the seized products are being sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis; no arrests have been made yet.
