Dunderry enjoyed a fine win over Ratoath to reach the Junior A Camogie final.

Double opportunity knocks in Junior A final

TOMMY MATTHEWS

There will be an opportunity for double success for both Trim and Dunderry next Sunday as their second teams will play in the Junior A Camogie final the day after their first teams contest the Senior B and Intermediate finals respectively.

When these two reserve sides met in round two Trim claiming a one-point victory over Dunderry, but the Reds will feel that their superior scoring power will give them a greater edge in next Sunday's final.

Goals sustained Dunderry in that earlier clash with Trim and kept them in the game before they were edged out by 2-3 to 0-10.

The Blacks have managed goals in all their games in the campaign and they will need a few more against Trim side who have found the net consistently, but who also lost out in the group stage to Ratoath.

The fact that Dunderry got the better of Ratoath in their semi-final, while Trim had the weekend off after receiving a semi-final walkover from Kilmessan might just give the villagers the edge, but expect no quarters to be asked or given in their derby clash.
