Oasis Slane shows sell out as village gears up for packed 2027

Oasis have sold out their entire Live ’27 tour, including their two highly anticipated concerts at Slane Castle next September.

The Gallagher brothers will return to the Co Meath venue on Saturday, 4th September and Sunday, 5th September 2027, with former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft as special guest.

The two Slane dates were among 42 shows on the band’s Live ’27 tour, which have now sold out following the weekend’s staggered ticket sales.

Tickets for the Slane concerts went on sale to fans who had registered in advance and were randomly selected to receive unique access codes.

There was no general sale, with the registration process the only public route to purchasing tickets for the two concerts.

Fans were allocated one of three sales windows across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with codes and purchase links sent out to successful applicants throughout the weekend.

The sell-out comes just weeks after Oasis announced their return to Slane, where they last headlined in 2009.

The band first played at the Meath venue in 1995, when they appeared on the bill supporting R.E.M., before returning as headliners 14 years later.

Their 2027 return will also come after the band's hugely successful reunion tour brought Liam and Noel Gallagher back to Ireland for two sold-out concerts at Croke Park in 2025.

And Oasis will not be the only major act heading to Slane next year.

The venue is already set for a particularly busy summer, with Fontaines D.C. playing two consecutive nights on Saturday, 26th and Sunday, 27th June 2027.

The second Fontaines D.C. date was added due to demand, just days after the band's initial Slane concert was announced.

The Dublin band will be joined by Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach, with further acts still to be announced.

Fontaines D.C. will become only the third Irish act to headline Slane, following Thin Lizzy and U2, and the first Irish act to headline the venue on consecutive nights.

Their two concerts will take place just over two months before Oasis arrive for their own two-night run.

That means four major concert dates are already confirmed at Slane Castle for 2027, with potentially hundreds of thousands of people expected to travel to the area across the four dates.

The busy programme is also likely to keep the focus on the impact of major concerts on the village and surrounding communities.

While large-scale events bring significant economic activity and international attention to Slane, local residents have previously raised concerns around traffic, access, disruption and communication with the community.

Those issues were discussed during engagement around this year's two-night Luke Combs concerts, with promoter MCD committing to a €61,000 community fund administered by Meath County Council.
