Meath Careers Expo 2026 set to connect local talent with local opportunity
County Meath Chamber, in partnership with Meath County Council, has officially launched the Meath Careers Expo 2026, which will take place on Wednesday, 8th October from 12pm to 6pm at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.
The launch event was held on Thursday, 18th September at Chamber House, Navan, bringing together employers, stakeholders and community representatives. Speakers included Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council, Cllr. Sarah Reilly, and President of County Meath Chamber, Niamh Giffney.
Now entering its eighth year, the Meath Careers Expo has become a key event for the county, bringing employers face-to-face with jobseekers, graduates, students and those considering a career change. With recruitment and staff retention continuing to be a major challenge for businesses across the region, the Expo provides a practical platform to showcase local opportunities and connect employers with the talent they need.
This year’s event will feature more than 40 leading employers from a broad range of sectors, including science, engineering, IT, healthcare, hospitality, retail, agriculture, logistics and finance. Hundreds of live roles will be available on the day, offering attendees the chance to explore new careers, meet employers directly and discover opportunities closer to home.
For employers, the Expo offers direct access to a strong and diverse local talent pool. For jobseekers, it is an opportunity to see the scale and variety of career pathways available across County Meath and beyond.
Speaking at the launch of the County Meath Careers Expo Cathaoirleach Cllr. Sarah Reilly said:

I encourage students, jobseekers and anyone considering a career change to attend and discover opportunities that could help shape their future.”
President of County Meath Chamber, Niamh Giffney, said:

Chief Executive of Meath County Council, Kieran Kehoe, added:

The event highlights the strength of Meath’s economy and the diverse opportunities available across a range of sectors, helping to support skills development and future workforce growth in the county.”
County Meath Chamber also recognised the valued support of corporate partner MTM Engineering, along with key collaborators Intreo and LMETB, who will provide career advice and CV support at the Expo.
Paula McCaul, CEO of County Meath Chamber, said the event continues to play an important role in strengthening the local economy:
