Chadwicks Kells marks new chapter for longstanding local business

Rooneys Home and Hardware has officially begun its next chapter as Chadwicks Kells following its acquisition by Chadwicks Group.

A total of €1.3 million has been invested in the Chadwicks Kells branch since last year, delivering a significant upgrade and expansion of its trade and retail offering. The branch has significantly broadened its trade and retail offering and will also introduce In Home, Chadwicks’ new home interiors destination.

First established in Kells in 2014 and operating from its current premises since 2019, the branch has long played an important role in the local community.

Alongside the standard Chadwicks builders’ merchant offering, customers can now shop a wider range of equipment and supplies. The branch has also added to its specialist range, alongside a showroom featuring bathrooms, doors and flooring.

The relaunch marks the introduction of In Home, Chadwicks’ new home interiors destination, bringing a curated selection of kitchenware, gifting, lamps and lanterns and interior décor to Kells. Customers can also expect an impressive Euronics appliances range, spanning washing machines, tumble dryers, fridge freezers and more.

To mark the relaunch, Chadwicks Kells welcomed local trade customers for a day of in-branch activities including goodie bags, refreshments and product demonstrations from DeWALT, Makita and Tec7. Trade customers can continue the celebrations, with special promotions available at Chadwicks Kells until 12th September 2026.
