The Stunning, Sharon Shannon and Mundy added to Púca line up

Three of Ireland’s biggest names in music are coming together for one unforgettable night at Púca Festival this Halloween, with The Stunning, Sharon Shannon Big Band and Mundy set to take to the stage at the Púca Big Top on 29th October.

The new addition to this year’s festival programme will bring together three distinctive sounds and generations of Irish music, from The Stunning’s iconic rock anthems and Mundy’s beloved singer-songwriter hits to the unmistakable energy of Sharon Shannon and her Big Band.

One of Ireland’s most enduring rock bands, The Stunning will bring their acclaimed live show to Púca. Formed in Galway in the late 1980s, the band have produced a string of much-loved tracks including Brewing Up a Storm, Half Past Two and Heads Are Gonna Roll.

Following their reunion in 2003, they have continued to perform to audiences across Ireland, cementing their reputation as one of the country's great live acts.

They will be joined by the Sharon Shannon Big Band, fronted by legendary accordion player Sharon Shannon. A pioneering force in Irish traditional music, Shannon is renowned for pushing the boundaries of the genre, incorporating elements of rock, reggae, country and blues into her work. Her Big Band brings together an impressive collective of musicians for a dynamic live show celebrating the breadth and energy of Irish music.

Also taking to the Púca stage is Mundy, one of Ireland’s best-known singer-songwriters. With a career spanning almost three decades, the Offaly-born musician has released a string of successful albums and is behind some of the country’s most recognisable songs, including July, To You I Bestow and his hugely popular take on Galway Girl.

From rock classics and traditional Irish sounds to folk favourites and big singalong moments, the three acts will create a unique night of music at the heart of Ireland’s Halloween celebrations.

Developed by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Meath County Council, Púca Festival celebrates Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween through a vibrant and contemporary festival experience rooted in the ancient customs of Samhain.

The Stunning, Sharon Shannon Big Band and Mundy add to an already impressive Púca Festival 2026 line-up, following the recent announcement of The Whistlin’ Donkeys, High Stool Prophets, Mark McCabe and Janet Devlin. They will perform alongside The Coronas with support from Róisín O, Hothouse Flowers, Jerry Fish, Qween and The Dublin Gospel Choir, as well as comedians John Colleary and Shane Daniel Byrne, with further acts and experiences still to be announced.

Beyond the music programme, festivalgoers can discover a host of experiences rooted in Irish folklore, history and tradition, including the Lighting of the Samhain Fire in Athboy, the Púca Procession in Trim, Beyond the Veil: The Púca Trail, Samhain Circus, Craicly Stories, Foraging Tours, Heritage Tours of Tlachtga and the festival’s biggest-ever Harvest Market.

A dedicated programme of workshops will further bring this year’s ‘Between Worlds’ theme to life, offering visitors hands-on opportunities to explore the stories, customs and rituals associated with Samhain and Ireland’s rich cultural heritage.
