Dance takes over for one day only at Solstice Arts Centre
Visit Solstice Arts Centre in Navan on 5th September for Meath Move Gathering, a day-long celebration of dance for all ages and abilities.
This celebratory day of dance includes interactive dance theatre for babies, open-level workshops, performances and a participatory dance-gig to shake out your bones and get your body moving.
Whether you love to move or just observe, the Meath Move Gathering is an opportunity to connect, celebrate dance, and experience the power of movement in a way that's open to all.
Dance artist and maker Selma Daniel, one-third of SAY Collective – with collaborators, Ailish Claffey and Yasmin Mello – spoke about the gathering:
"Our first Meath Move Gathering last year was a 12-hour celebration of dance that transformed Solstice into a vibrant hub for all ages—blending workshops, family performances, professional shows – this year our ambition is growing and we hope to welcome even more members of the community from Meath and the surrounding areas for a full day of dance."
Peekaboo: dance theatre for babies where any space can be transformed into an immersive world of discovery, rhythm, movement, and laughter.

ROLLING! Accompanied by live percussion, one dancer moves through his space using cardboard tubes, discs and tyres; music and dance come together in this athletic, captivating performance.

Migration: a showcase of three dance performances from artists of various backgrounds focusing on themes of immigrating to and emigrating from Ireland.
