Gardaí appeal for witnesses following alleged serious assault in Duleek

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an alleged serious assault on a woman in Duleek on Friday morning.

The incident occurred on Abbey Road shortly after 11.10am.

A woman in her 20s was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are particularly anxious to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Abbey Road between 10.30am and 11.30am and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage.
