Navan man brought before the courts in connection with death of Mia Lily Keogh O'Keeffe

A 26 year man from Navan appeared today in court charged with dangerous driving which resulted in the death of a 16 year old local girl in February last.

Aaron O'Connell of Beaufort Place, Navan was brought before Trim District Court this morning (Thursday 18th June).

He faces three counts including dangerous driving causing the death of Mia Lily Keogh O'Keeffe on 21st February at Blackcastle Demesne, Slane Road, Navan.

The other charges are  he failed to remain at the scene and failed to offer assistance.

He was granted bail subject to conditions and remanded to the sitting of the court on 21st July next.

The conditions are he surrender his passport and  not apply for new documents. Also he signs on twice weekly on Monday and Friday at Navan Garda Station; reside at his home address; provide Gardai with a mobile number and be contactable at all times and have no contact with the injured party's family or witnesses in the case.
