Kildalkey’s impressive second-half performance earned them a slender victory over Trim in what was an entertaining HL Div 1 contest on Thursday. Aided by a strong breeze, the home side dominated proceedings in the first-half as goals from James Murray and Mikey Cole helped Trim build a strong advantage of 2-11 to 0-4 at the break.
However, in the second-half, Kildalkey seized momentum and in particular, Nicky Potterton led the way for a stunning comeback from Mickey Cole’s side. Potterton scored Kildalkey’s crucial second goal before he split the post twice in the closing stage to steal a victory for the men in blue.

Na Fianna made light work of a depleted Kilmessan side and moved three points clear of fellow relegation contenders Dunderry in the HL Div 1. Na Fianna scored 1-8 on the spin in the second-quarter and at the break led 1-15 to 0-5. A second goal for the home side midway through the second-half put the game to bed.

Despite trailing by five at the break, Kildalkey came away from Trim with a slender victory in the HL Div 2. First-half goals from Ben Rickard and Adam O’Brien proved to be crucial. Late frees from Mattie Cully got the visitors over the line.

Kilmessan recovered well from a slow start to the second-half and secured a narrow victory over St Fechin’s in the HL Div 3. The vistors scored 1-1 after the restart and edged ahead before Kilmessan and in particular, Finn Conroy seized momentum. Conroy finished with a nice tally of 0-11.

Two second-half goals from Finn Malone and Killian Clarke Doggett capped off what was an impressive performance from Navan O’Mahoony’s in their victory over Longwood in the HL Div 3. Jack Walsh and Killian Murphy combined for 0-13 of the Brews Hill side’s tally as the home side kept their hopes of promotion alive in what has transpired to be a very competitive division.

Conor Gorman led the way for Kilmessan and finished with a super tally of 1-10 as the men in blue and white comfortably overcame Blackhall Gaels in the HL Div 6. The visitors led by five at half-time and pulled away from their opponents in the second half. Stalwart Martin Horan contributed two nice points for the eventual winners.

An early goal from John Brogan set the tone for Moynalty as they got the better of St Colmcille’s in the FL Div 9. A second goal courtesy of Pauraic O’Connor handed the visitors an eight-point lead at the break and they kept their opponents at arm's length for the remainder.
