VIDEO: 'Shocked and heartbroken'... Hundreds attend Navan vigil for Ashling Murphy

Hundreds of people came to Blackwater Park in Navan this evening to remember Ashling Murphy the talented primary school teacher and musician who was murdered earlier this week.

The vigil took place at 4pm in the park so popular among walkers and joggers just like the idyllic banks of the Grand Canal at Cappincur, Tullamore where Ashling was attacked and killed on Wednesday.

Navan was just one of many locations across Meath where poignant candlelit vigils were held to remember the 23-year-old and stand in solidarity with the Murphy family.
