Trim Gardai investigating cash theft from elderly lady's home

Trim Gardaí are investigating the theft of cash from an elderly lady's home in the Baskinagh, Kildalkey area this morning at approximately 10.30am.

Two males pretending to be Gardaí from Trim Garda Station called to the lady's home and showed her what looked like a Garda badge through the window.

A Garda spokesperson added:

"The lady let them in and they proceeded to take cash from the kitchen area of the house and from her bedroom. She did not notice the cash was missing until after these males had left the house."
