Trainer Noel Meade on the mark at Fairyhouse today

Another Tiger ready to roll for Gigginstown

Gigginstown has another Tiger on the prowl after after the Noel Meade-trained Daly Tiger won the €75,000 Grade A Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse today.

The victory compensated for a poor showing last time out at Fairyhouse in December and today Sean Flanagan got a winning run out of the eight-year-old which was winning for the fifth time.

The favourite Chatham Street Lad madea mistake two out and eventually finished third with the Willie Mullins-trained Pont Aven in second.

“He's going to get a fair old penalty for today so it might knock him out of handicaps,"commented the winning trainer by phone.

The Stewards requested a report as to the apparent improvement in form compared to a run at Fairyhouse on the 12th December.

Emma Connolly, authorised representative for Noel Meade, reported that the trainer was very disappointed with the poor run the last day and no abnormalities were found on post race examinations at home.

Having considered all the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
