Kilmessan never gave up battling but they found Kildalkey too strong in this HL Div 5 encounter at Kilmessan on Wednesday evening.

It was looking ominous for the home side at the interval when they trailed 0-3 to 2-12.

Kilmessan registered their first score from a Jason Gorman free but Kildalkey hit eight points in response. Gorman and Scott Bagnall slotted over points for Kilmessan before the interval.

In the second-half Kilmessan continued to work hard but Ger O'Neill and Richie Donnelly were their only point-getters as Kildalkey drew away.
