Enfield schoolkids create some Christmas cheer for hospital patients unable to see visitors

Enfield children brought a bit of life, colour and happiness into the lives of hospital patients who have been unable to have visitors.

The children of Mrs Miller fourth class and Ms Ni Fhaogain's second class at St Mary's Primary School in Enfield wrote over 40 letters and get well cards for patients in St James Hospital in Dublin.

The letters were given to the Social Work Department of the hospital to give to patients who are vulnerable and may have no family to write to them during this lockdown period.

The cards and pictures were given to patients who had not had visitors for several weeks.

“We are very grateful for all their hard work,” said a spokesperson for the hospital's 'Thinking of You' campaign.
