Ratoath Electoral Area highest rate of Covid-19 in Meath

The Ratoath Electoral Area continues to have one of the highest rates of Covid-19 in the country with an incident rate four times the national average.

There had been 455 new cases confirmed in Ratoath in the fortnight up to Monday 26th October and an incident rate of 1,365.6 per 100,000.

All the local electoral areas in Meath apart from Laytown Bettystown are above the national average.

The incident rate in Ashbourne is 887.2 and there have been 258 new cases in the last fortnight.

There were 155 new cases in Trim and an incident rate of 496.9 while there were 157 new cases in Kells and a rate of 484.6.

Navan saw a rise in the number of cases by 217 and an incident rate of 621.2 per hundred thousand.

Laytown Bettystown had the lowest rate of 146.5 per 100,000 well below the national average of 307.6, with 50 new cases confirmed.
