Keane edges closer to title-race leader

Two more winners this evening for Colin Keane has closed the gap in the race for the flat title to eight.

Currently Shane Foley leads the way but in a week Keane has closed the gap from 15 to eight following the double this evening at Tipperary.

Keane was on board the Matthew-Smith trained Son Of Hypnos and won the concluding handicap for the Kilmessan-based handler

The Trim jockey won the the preceding race on the John McConnell-trained Blackstone Cliff.

Keane will be in action at Cork tomorrow as he bids to continue closing that gap that only seven days ago looked like an impossible task.
