Jubilee Cup champions Kildalkey returned to competitive action in style as Paddy Conneely hit 1-11 to inspire them to a comfortable A HL Div 1 victory over Killyon. Luke Rickard added a second-half goal to Kildalkey's 1-9 to 0-6 interval lead to stretch his side's lead.

Killyon stayed in touch by doubling their points tally after the break, but Kildalkey were always comfortable when holding them off.

There was no shortage of entertainment as Ratoath and Kilmessan fired 4-44 between them with the hosts Ratoath claiming crucial goals from Daithi McGowan, Gavin McGowan and Cian Rogers. However it was the remarkable haul of 18 points for Padraig O'Hanrahan that proved decisive. Luke Horan hit 11 points for Kilmessan with Steven Clynch claiming their goal.

Trim's second string proved too strong for visitors Kilskyre/Moylagh in A HL Div 3. Mikey Cullen's goal boosted the winners to a 1-6 to 0-4 interval lead and they kept the scoreboard ticking over after the resumption with points from Stephen Doyle, Aaron McGee, Johnny McEvoy and James Murray on target.
