Dry with some sunny spells but mixed weather to remain with us

It will stay dry in many areas today with sunny spells and just a few passing showers, according to Met Éireann.

Maximum temperatures 14 to 19 degrees. Winds mostly moderate west to northwest, fresh to strong at first on Connacht and Ulster coasts, later decreasing mostly light west to northwest.

TONIGHT

Dry at first tonight with clear spells, but cloud and rain will extend from the Atlantic, persistent over the northern half of the country, with some heavy falls in Connacht, but more patchy in Munster and south Leinster.

Minimum temperatures 7 to 11 degrees, in mostly light southwesterly breezes, freshening later on west and southwest coasts.

TOMORROW - TUESDAY 7TH JULY

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, persistent and locally heavy in places, especially in Connacht, but more patchy elsewhere. Misty in places, with hill and coastal fog.

Maximum temperatures 12 to 17 degrees, coldest in the north. Winds mostly light to moderate southeasterly, veering southwesterly, strong on western and southern coasts.
