North East Women's League ready for action

The North East Football League Women's Premier Division will kick-off from Monday 10th August with 12 teams set for action for the 2020 season.

This start date will facilitate a four-week pre-season and the action will unfold on a home and away basis in two groups of six teams each.

The groups are regionalised as much as possible and after all the group fixtures are completed the top two teams in each group will progress to semi-finals with a final to determine the 2020 Premier champions.

A league cup competition over four weeks during the season will be considered also but a decision will be made later with the key requirement of dates for games in compliance with FAI guidelines.

GROUPS

Group A - Kingscourt Harps, Torro Utd, Parkvilla Belles, Park Celtic Summerhill, Skryne/Tara, Trim Celtic

Group B - Albion Rovers, Belurgan Utd, Balbriggan, Drogheda Town, Quay Celtic, Slane Wanderers.
