A comedy about what happens when you discover your dead Dad has a secret family and you now have a brand new sister. This is a love story to siblings, mothers and crap dads. Throughout the series our four leading women try to make sense of their newly found sisters and sort-of-step-mums.

Love/Hate (RTÉ 1, Friday 10.50pm)

Another chance to catch one of Irish television’s biggest hits - it’s Love/Hate from the very beginning. He skipped Dublin after a gun charge to live in Spain, but Darren Tracey misses his mates in the capital decides to risk it and come back.

The Dead Don’t Die (Sky Cinema)

Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton and Iggy Pop are directed by Jim Jarmusch in an indie zombie movie set in the sleepy town of Centreville, where strange things are afoot.

27 Dresses (Film4, Friday 6.50pm)

Katherine Heigl is always the bridesmaid, never the bride - and has 27 dresses to prove it. Her story attracts the attention of a newspaper wedding columnist, who falls for her - but she only has eyes for her boss, Edward Burns, whose interest lies with her sister, Malin Akerman. It’s complicated.

Dating Amber (Amazon Prime)

Set in Ireland in the mid-90s, it tells the story of best friends Eddie and Amber, who form a fake relationship to stop their friends, family and classmates from speculating about their sexuality. Described as “a poignant, honest and funny look at the highs and lows of teenage life” - it could be the next Normal People.

Space Force (Netflix)

Much awaited satire about politics where a team of scientists and astronauts are given free rein to develop a program that would give the United States complete dominance over Space. Steve Carell leads a super cast of John Malkovich, Lisa Kudrow, Jane Lynch, and the late Fred Willard.

Snowpiercer (Netflix)

Earth has frozen over and the last surviving humans live on a giant 1001-car train that’s been circling the globe for over six years, struggling to coexist amid the delicate balance onboard. Starring Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs and Mickey Sumner.

Taylor Swift: City of Lover’ Show (Disney+)

This special was filmed at the L’Olympia Theater in Paris. Fans will see Swift performing songs from her Lover album in front of an intimate crowd of ‘Swifties’ from 37 countries who traveled to the City of Love for the unique live experience.

Alex Rider (Amazon Pime)

A new eight episode thriller based on Point Blanc, the second book in the long-running series of spy novels by Anthony Horowitz. The story begins with Alex being recruited by MI6 to investigate the mysterious death of his uncle.

Into The Night (Netflix)

The series follows a group of people who are hijacked while on board a red-eye flight from Brussels, which heads west in an attempt to survive a catastrophic solar event that kills all living organisms during daylight hours. Trouble is, the plane only has limited fuel.

THE SHOW MUST GO ONLINE Hamilton (Disney+)

Here’s one definitely worth setting the record button for. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer prize-winning musical was filmed in New York with the original Broadway cast a few years ago. It was originally scheduled for a 2021 cinema release, but has now been fast-tracked to your home viewing screen on July 3rd. This one really does live up to the hype.
