Death of Madge McEntee, matriarch of Nobber family

The death occurred this morning in Nobber of of Madge McEntee, mother of the late Meath TD, Shane McEntee, and grandmother of the Minister for European Affairs, Helen McEntee. Her late husband, Tony, was a prominent IFA figure, and they had a family of eight. 

She died peacefully at the residence of her son, Larry and daughter-in-law Aileen, Leafin, Nobber, in the loving care of all her family.

She is survived by her daughter Mary (Furlong, Summerhill), sons Alan (Trim), Gerry (Castleknock), Larry (Nobber), Jimmy (Castletown), Tony (Curraha) and Andrew (Dunboyne); daughters-in-law, Trudi, Yvonne, Kathleen, Aileen, Dolores, Catherine and Rosanne, all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and many friends.

Madge's remains will repose at her own home in Nobber Village, Tuesday from 12 noon. Removal from her home is at 8pm Tuesday evening to the Church of St. John the Baptist, Nobber. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 2pm, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
