Two men arrested following golf club burglary

Two males were arrested early this morning (Monday) following a burglary at Headfort Golf Club, Kells.

According to the Meath Crime Prevention FB page, the alarm on the premises on the Navan Kells road was activated at 5.25am.

Gardaí went to the scene and located two males inside the building. Both were arrested and taken to Kells Garda Station where they are currently detained. It is believed that two other suspects may have been involved and who managed to evade Gardaí.

Subsequently a Peugeot Boxer pick-up vehicle was stolen in Kilmainham, Kells and later recovered in Clondalkin, Dublin. Investigations are ongoing.
