The 'I'm A Celebrity' gand from Bohermeen

‘Celebs’ countdown to jungle challenge

Snakes, spiders, bugs and creepy crawlies of all kinds will be doing their best to force 24 brave Meath souls to squeal ‘I'm a Celebrity Get
Me Out Of Here’ later this month.
Bohermeen FC and St Ultan's Ladies GFC have joined forces to host the night based on the hugely popular TV show in aid of their respective clubs to be held in the Newgrange Hotel on Saturday, April 27th.
Bohermeen FC chairman David Brady said:

“Our share of the money after all the costs are met will go into Derek Brady Park (named after David's brother who died at the age of 22 in Taiwan after he was struck by a car in 1996) which we hope to officially open in July of this year to conicide with the AGM of the FAI which is being held in Meath this year.
“Our three pitches are in and seeded and drained and our boundary walls in place but we still have a fair amount of work to do but it is progressing very well.”

In the lead up to the event, each of the contestants have been busy running fundraisers as part of the ‘I'm A Celeb’ effort. Last Sunday night, a fashion show held in the Silver Tankard pub proved a great success. Among the businesses showcasing their fabulous line of clothes were Maureen & Christine from Ebony Boutique & Stiletto Trim; Siobhan from Geoghegan's, Pat & Pauric from Pat O'Byrne Manshop in Trim; Paddy & Sophie from Jack & Jones Navan; Ciara, Siobhan and Kathy from Carraig Donn Navan; Erin in Prepys, Jamie & Steven in Penny's Navan Appreciation Club and Ivan in O'Neill’s Sportswear.

The Committee also wanted to thank Grainne from Pink Accessories who was all showcasing her amazing scarfs, shawls, handbags, and accessories on the night. Check out Pink Accessories FaceBook page. And Niamh from Bellarina's Hair And Beauty and Lorraine from Younique - Corporate who provided hair and makeup demonstrations on the night.

Audrey Gaffney & Caolan Reilly compered the Fashion Show in the Silver Tankard

“We have a committee of six with three members from each club and we have the contestants divided between us and they have been just terrific in what they have achieved. We've had fashion shows, poker classics, musical bingo, kids movie night, and cake sales all taking place and the reaction has been fantastic,” adds David Brady.
“We've no target in mind but we want to do as well as we can as this will probably be the biggest fundraiser we'll undertake this year and next. We're delighted to be going back to the Newgrange, they looked after us very well two years ago when he held The Kube night there so looking forward to it.”
