Temperatures falling this weekend

Wrap up warm this weekend, temperatures set to plunge

Brace yourself, it's going to get really cold this Bank Holiday weekend with temperatures expected to plunge to -3 on Saturday night. It might be worth bearing in mind if you're out and abouty with the families attending a large number of Halloween events taking place across the County.

Met Eireann reports that it will be cold and breezy tonight, with a lot of dry clear weather, but a few rain or hail showers also. Lowest temperatures zero to plus 2 C., with some frost and icy patches in places.
Heading into Saturday another cold, breezy day is in store, despite some decent sunny spells. Top temperatures only 7 or 8 C and feeling colder in the fresh and gusty north to northwest breeze.

"Evening time will see north to northeasterly winds moderate considerably overnight, falling light inland and the showers will become increasingly confined to coastal areas. Largely clear skies will see temperatures between - 3 to plus 2 degrees, with a widespread frost forming and some icy patches."

Most parts dry and fine with good sunshine, after a frosty start. Top temperatures of 7 to 10 C., but not feeling as cold as previous days, due to more prolonged sunshine and mainly light breezes. Again on Sunday evening temperatures will take a plunge with frost forming in the clear, near calm conditions and some icy patches are expected. Temperatures will range from minus 2 to plus 2 C.

The Bank Holiday Monday looks like being dry and bright for most places. Early frost and ice clearing with highs of 7 to 10 C
