Death of Peter McKeever

The death has occurred of retired Navan businessman and former Meath footballer, Peter McKeever. He had been ill for some time.
An insurance broker, he was managing director of McKeever O'Callaghan for many years.
After his footballing career with Navan O'Mahonys and Meath, he turned his attention to golf and became a prominent figure in Royal Tara Golf Club. He was a prominent member of O'Mahonys' five-in-a row team of 1957-61.
He was also involved in organisations in the town such as the Lions and Rotary clubs.

Peter died peacefully earlier today in the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Smith, Kells), family, Liz, Mary-Patricia, Suzi and Peter; sons-in-law Duncan, Ciaran and Stephen, daughter-in-law Jane, grandchildren Alice, Rachel, Matthew, Daniel, Charlie, Abby, Molly, Niamh and Max, brother Tony, sisters Barbara and Clare, and all his family and friends.
 
His remains are arriving at St Mary's Church, Navan on Saturday morning for Funeral Mass at 10am, with burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery.
