Garda appeal for information following burglaries

Trim Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or information in relation to three burglaries that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Trim District, including one where licenced firearms were stolen.

The first burglary occurred at a house in Ballynabarney, Longwood at 3.10pm. The second burglary occurred in Doolistown, Trim between 4pm and 5pm, where an item of jewellery was taken.

The third burglary occurred in the Kilmessan area at around 4.30pm. The rear patio door of a house was smashed and the house was entered and ransacked. A number of licensed firearms were taken in this burglary.

According to Gardai, CCTV footage from the Doolistown area shows a grey Volvo S40 driving up and down the road a number of times. Trim Gardaí are asking for the assistance of the public in these investigations. Motorists who may have dash cams and who were in these areas around the relevant times are asked to check if this vehicle (or any other suspicious activity) was recorded.
