Nigel in Voice of Ireland again this weekend

Athboy's Nigel Connell will be competing in the second Live Knockout in The Voice of Ireland which takes place on Saturday this week, due to the 1916 celebrations.

Three more contestants from each team will take to the stage hoping they can impress their coach enough to make it through to the quarter finals. Only one act from each team can make it through.

Nigel who has drummed for both Daniel O’Donnell and Nathan Carter will be singing 'Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney.'

Nigel started his music career at the age of 15, playing country music with the likes of TR Dallas and the Cotton Mill Boys. He played with singer, Sean O’Farrell, and then became a drummer for Linda Martin and later Rebecca Storm.
He was then involved in the rock band The Cunning Stunts, then six years ago Daniel O’Donnell asked him to join him and he has been Daniel’s drummer ever since.
