Dunshaughlin college's 2016 hopes on film

Dunshaughlin Community College's proclamation mural was a collaborative project between fifth year history students and the DCC film club. The aim was to create a lasting piece of artwork to celebrate such an important centenary. They decided to create a video that not only commemorates but also re-imagines the proclamation of 1916 and sets out hopes for 2016.

The score was also an original piece composed by student Bradley Kearns for the celebrations.

The mural itself is inspired by the key themes of the proclamation with the central image of the dove symbolising peace and hope whilst also commemorating those who lost their life fighting for our freedom.
